How to make an Appointment:

Appointments are required to attend morning and afternoon surgery. The appointment line is open from 8.00am, Monday to Friday, and a receptionist will be pleased to arrange a date and time for you to attend. Alternatively you can book your appointment online.

There are fixed (10 minute) doctor appointments which are either 'Pre-Booked' or 'Same-Day' appointments. Same-Day appointments are saved to be booked on the day only.

Some clinics run throughout the afternoon. Only attend the surgery out of the usual surgery hours if you have a scheduled appointment.

Evening appointments are run by an appointment only basis; patients are asked not to attend the evening surgery without an appointment unless the matter is urgent and simply cannot wait until the following morning.

The doctor will try wherever possible see you within 30 minutes of your appointment. Please understand that a delay is sometimes unavoidable, but if this happens we will keep you informed.

If you are unable to keep an appointment please click here for instructions.

Dental Problems:

If you have an urgent dental problem such as toothache or a dental abscess you should see a dentist not your GP.

If you have a regular dentist you should telephone them and arrange an urgent appointment. If they are closed there should be an answerphone message with the phone number of the local dentist covering emergencies. If you have trouble getting through call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.

Advice is available from dental advisors regarding all dental problems from the British dental health foundation (BDHF). Their contact details and web site can be found by clicking here.
