Winter Vaccines – RSV and Flu
We have already sent invites to all 75 to 80 year olds to have the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine this September. RSV is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs, similar symptoms to a cold, however it can become much more serious for older people and small babies (midwives are offering the RSV vaccine to pregnant women). For more information see this link.
In the first week of October, we will be sending text invites to all those eligible for a free flu vaccine. We strongly encourage all invited to take up the offer as it will minimise the risk of getting seriously ill with the flu as well as helping to protect your family and friends. For more information see this link.
If you have any questions, please do contact us and we can advise.
